Enable two-factor authentication at epicgames.com/account/security with an authenticator app, not SMS — the one setting that stops most Fortnite account theft. Then open epicgames.com/account/connections and remove any PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo link you do not recognise: a compromised linked platform reaches your V-Bucks without ever touching your Epic password.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

2FA is the single most important security measure. Epic Games offers email 2FA, authenticator app 2FA, and SMS 2FA. We recommend using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy.

Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
Choose "Authenticator App" for best security
