Content, Corrections & Takedown Policy

How we report breach claims — and how to reach us if you believe we got something wrong.

What we publish, and why

GalaxyWarden and Recent Breaches operate as a breach-monitoring service and news aggregator. We track and report cybersecurity incidents that are already public — including listings that ransomware and extortion groups publish on their own leak sites, and incidents reported by threat-intelligence platforms and security media. Reporting on these claims is a matter of legitimate public interest: people whose data may sit inside a breached organisation have a real interest in knowing a claim has been made.

How we treat unverified claims

A leak-site listing is the attacker’s claim — not a proven fact. Our incident pages say so explicitly. Unless we state otherwise, we have not independently verified that a breach occurred, what data (if any) was taken, or the accuracy of the group’s assertions, and the named organisation has not necessarily confirmed the incident. We attribute claims to their source and link that source.

What we do not do

Right of reply — and how to request a correction or removal

If you represent an organisation named on one of our pages and believe something is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, we want to hear from you and we will act on evidence. Email support@galaxywarden.com with:

  1. The exact URL(s) in question;
  2. The specific statement(s) you say are inaccurate;
  3. What the correct position is, and any supporting documentation (an official statement, a confirmation that the leak-site entry was withdrawn, or other reliable evidence);
  4. Your name, role, and organisation.

Our commitment: we acknowledge every notice within 2 business days and aim to complete review within 5 business days. Where a statement is shown to be inaccurate we correct or remove it promptly and note the correction. We will also publish a short statement from the organisation alongside the report on request. If we believe the reporting is accurate and in the public interest we will explain our reasoning and the sources we relied on, and you remain free to pursue any remedy available to you.

Corrections policy

Material corrections are noted on the page itself with the date. We do not silently delete reporting, but we do update it as facts develop — including when an organisation confirms, denies, or provides context on a claim.
